Web of Thresholds

My final project is a culmination of different studies of densities and the in-between created when working with an interconnected web of movement. The housing is both an extension of this web and also produces its own interlocking threshold movement, which generates an overall network between both sites in different directions that encourages movement through and in-between. The interstitial spaces produced by the interlocking movements and the main threshold’s spread are unique moments of transition, forward movement, or areas to exist and experience in singularity. The pedestrian bridge and its extensions hinge the housing and public programming together and encourages connection between the two sites while also stemming from the important metro traffic next to the site.
