USC Social Justice Center

The USC Center for Social Justice will be designed to solve the prominent social issues in the neighborhood of Leimert Park, with a focus on sustainability. Solar energy and other clean energy sources will be employed to reduce the environmental impact of the energy consumption of the building. USC Center for Social Justice aims to include community gardens to grow vegetables and other crops. The produce from the garden will then be sold at the farmer’s market next to the metro stop. This notion will encourage people in the local area to consume healthy food and advocate for public transportation.
