The Ebb & Flow of a Community

Ebb – as in the outgoing phase, and Flow – as in the incoming phase. The bike path acts as a catalyst for the design. The system is designed to have a transition from man-made to nature to create an overall transitional relationship between the two.

The bike path spreads in different trajectories and elevations to create a system of transportation in which the biker experiences every instance of the design. The buildings were developed in interaction with said bike paths as if they are puzzle pieces from a two-dimensional and three-dimensional sense. Together, the structures and environment create a rhythm that is formed about the main mode of transportation; the bike path.
