ARCH 102B: Architectural Design I Gallery: Architectural Primitives: Geometric and Mythological

Santa Monica Public Art Gallery

This gallery is envisioned to be overseen by one artist who displays his or her work to give the public opportunity to view not just the final renditions of his art, but also his creative process. The site creates varying degrees of visibility with layering orthogonal and diagonal structures. This way, occupants are encouraged to circulate the site more thoroughly via the trenches, and explore the dynamic interiors and exteriors of the 3 pavilions. This method of presenting different visuals of structures is meant to unveil the activities that go on inside of each space, drafting in an art studio, planning on a resting space, and presentation in a gallery.
