Overhead Courtyard Housing

Overhead Courtyard Housing is low-income, small family, and single-parent family housing. It is uniquely situated above the Metabolic Art Studio, adjacent to the L.A.River, and between the Broadway Street and Spring Street Viaduct Bridges, which span parallel to two of the housing project’s five facades.

Programmatically, this project maximizes the number of housing units offered to single parent families and small families, while ensuring that each unit has easy access to quality outdoor spaces through a variety of private balconies, shared courtyards, and community recreational spaces.
