Mama’s Teppanyaki Grill

This proposal features a system of overlapping circular paths and forms that create a structure which quite literally revolves around the cooking-based performance that is Teppanyaki. Users can move freely between these paths and spaces, allowing them to observe the chefs’ work from a variety of different angles, all the while ensconced in the sights, sounds, and smells of this unique food-based performance. The project’s core idea of circular circulation originated from an earlier study of an existing curved and elevated walkway.
