Leimert Park Institute for Film Arts

At the Leimert Park neighborhood, cafes, bookstores, and the Leimert Park are cultural hubs where members of the community gather for exchange and leisure hangouts. This project continues this narrative to create engaging cultural spaces that are dedicated to outdoor gathering as welll as purposes of cultural discussion and education. An atrium stairwell brings people from the open ground floor, through the Underground Museum, to the cultural programs on the top floors. A trellis system covers the atrium and transforms the center void into a green wall that frames the sky.
