The proposed community center bridges Leimert Park and the residential area through the inner street between two tessellated landscape. Programs include cultural development and neighborhood engagement (eg. sound studio, art space, grocery store) in hope of preserving the strong art/music culture rooted in the community while providing a comfortable, wellness-based center for the Leimert Park residents. The structural system is a reconsidered truss, designed to support the tessellated form and the long-span space above the basketball court.
