Leimert Park Community Center

This project is about creating a space for people to gather as if a second home to the community. The project utilizes a folding plane concept to create a series of undulating pitched roofs that formally relate to the residential area of Leimert Park.The undulating series are intertwined with solid spaces to create a visual porosity that frames certain moments inside and outside the building. In doing so, establishes a transparent and welcoming area for the community to utilize and enjoy.
