Sited in Leimert Park, this community center mimics the rhythm of programs along the Degnan Boulevard and consists of 3 parallel strips – the public programs, basketball courts that function as a open flexible space, and private programs. The long span structure is a sheared half arch that acts as the primary structure of the building, defining the three bands. The facade is an ephemeral aluminum loover screen that creates a semi-outdoor circulation system at the front and back of the building.
