Coastal Weaving

Located on the Gulf of Thailand, Coastal Weaving is a sustainable infrastructure that fosters naturally extending dyke. The project utilizes prefabricated glulam bamboo joinery units that are used as a base infrastructure for mangrove growing, aquaculture, and programmable space. The project is designed to keep its looseness as users can extend the space as needed. The goal of this project is to suggest a tangible, low-tech solution that mitigates sea level rise through revitalizing the mangrove forest.
