A Route to Rhythm

This project explores the relationship between music and architecture. Belonging to a multi-instrumentalist, the site contains a series of unique performance spaces. Each pavilion offers a different way for an audience to experience music: from below, from above and at various opacity. One pavilion intrigues the listener, revealing more with each turn around it. Another acts as an orchestra pit, becoming the background music for the Venice beach energy. A third, is positioned on an intersection, allowing for the interaction of people and the combination of multiple instruments. A pathway weaves through the site, framing each of these experiences, while connecting these spaces together.
