A Poet’s Property

The architectural concept used in this project is that of an orthogonal line connecting to a curved line, which depending on the way the curve is used creates an enclosed or open space. It is meant for a poet of nature, whose inspiration is observing her surroundings, such as people and their interaction with nature. There are three components that make up this site; live, work, and public. The public takes up most of the space as it consists of a library, garden, and a theater above water. Curves are an icon of this poet as they represent her unconfined way of living.
