A Healthier Burbank

Given overpopulation, climate change, and increasing isolation, life expectancies and overall health are likely to continue to decrease over the next 100 years. This project works to steadily improve the health of permanent residents and transform the health of visitors to Burbank, CA. Drawing on influence from classmates’ studies on factors of a functioning society, the project takes control of health using architectural form. The curved nodes of community interaction combined with the linear methods of transportation create a proper balance of comfort and activity, therefore suggesting a healthier lifestyle.
