Notable within the field of architecture, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Mayan Revival houses are also more broadly recognized in popular culture. By way of their seamless integration into the worlds of high fantasy and science fiction, textile block houses are recognized by a much broader public. This project proposes a “diptych” addition to one of Wright’s Mayan Revival houses, the Samuel Freeman House, serving as a permanent production set for genre films.
