This project does not only mean to maintain the previous position as cultural hub for African American in Southern California, but also create a harmonious community for residents inside and outside by facilitating the effect of communication consistently happening on this site.
This project is mainly about three points:
1. Separating the co-living part from the private living demand; 2. Subdivide the entire building into different sectors with co-working space and landscape involved; 3. Maximizing the open floor areas for the publicity and Minimizing the Units for the Privacy
