Spatial-Peak

In this project, we are using an emerging and sustainable material, CLT to design a co-working space. Our building design is based on the study from the ratio of public vs private, which indicates as the higher the floor, the more privacy we will have for space. In order to provide the diversity of space, we are using different architectural elements to achieve the spatial balance, such as double-heights floor, cantilever and balcony. Our idea is to use the simplest components, staircase to create a unique label for our design, which is the “Channel”. The “Channel” is a dynamic circulation system which convoluted in the building. We regard our building design as a wood mountain, and the “Channel” is not only a circulation system, but also a mountain path toward the peak.
