A new transit stop is planned along San Fernando to make this neighborhood thrive in the coming decades. Replanning the vacant areas on both sides of the road to mixed-use areas will significantly improve land resources’ utilization rate, make the area livable, and connect to the Riverwalk and thriving animation studio offices. Thoughtful mixed-use development near the planned transit stop will provide more residential space to ease the current housing shortage. Remembering what this road used be, Proper planning of nearby underutilized areas will make San Fernando road become a bustling commercial corridor again and a destination within Glendale and the LA area.
