False Intersection

False Intersection examines Venturi’s notion of “closed yet open”, through spaces that prevail within the ambiguity of our common definitions of the interior versus the exterior space. A moveable shade system, while striving for visual continuity as well as light play on the interior, institutes a flow of space throughout the structure. Courtyard area serves as an intersection point that connects the different functions of the program and the interior and the exterior of the building space.
