I am interested in building an art community for our site because there are several scattered art departments nearby. Except for basic function of studio for artists, this art community could also provide a gathering space for neighbors living nearby and artwork dealers. For artists, there are co-working spaces in different scales in the building. For public, there are also spaces such as flexible galleries, auditorium and sunken plaza. For structure and materials, I focused on creating box beams and columns with CLT. The structural components are used not only for supporting the building but also for concealing the mechanical and providing greenery through the void spaces.
